Donate blood and get a free
ticket to the
Cincinnati Zoo's 25th Annual
PNC Festival of Lights
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical
Garden and Hoxworth Blood Center are partnering to encourage blood donations and
help prevent Thanksgiving holiday blood shortages. All donors at Hoxworth's nine neighborhood donor centers on November 19, 20 & 21 will get one free ticket to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 25th Annual PNC Festival of Lights. The tickets are good through January 1, 2008 and have a retail value of $13.00. The tickets do not include parking fees. The Thanksgiving holiday brings increased travel accidents and other emergency room visits, and therefore a greater demand for blood. Donating during this special campaign will help make sure our local hospitals have enough blood for the long holiday weekend. How to donate: Please call (513) 451-0910 or (800) 830-1091 or email hoxapctr@ucmail.uc.edu to schedule an appointment to donate at any of Hoxworth’s donor centers Donating blood and is safe and easy, and is a great way to give back to your community. Each donation takes about one hour and could save up to three lives. The requirements to give blood are: •Age: At least 17 years old and in good general health.
