8th Annual Bengals Blood Drive - HUGE SUCCESS!
The Cincinnati Bengals and Local 12 once again teamed up with Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati to host the 8th Annual Bengals Blood Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Paul Brown Stadium.
“This partnership with the Bengals and Local 12 has once again resulted in Cincinnati’s largest blood drive, collecting 749 blood products, thus helping to save 2,247 lives in the tri-state”, said Hoxworth director, Dr. Ronald A. Sacher. “We are thrilled with the support that Bengals fans showed at the blood drive and welcome them to the rank of Hero.”
Bengals Week
Those who could not attend the drive on Tues. can participate in “Bengals Week” at all of any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center. Blood donors who give at a neighborhood donor center or community blood drive on Oct. 28, 29, 30 or 31 will receive a limited-edition Bengals Blood Drive t-shirt while supplies last.
How to Donate:
Donating blood is safe and easy. You must be at least 17- years-old (16-years old with a signed parental consent) and in good health. You must weigh at least 110 pounds and bring identification to donate. It is recommended that donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within four hours before donating.
