The “Suite” Life of Baseball

Donate Blood for a chance to win Suite Tickets at Great American Ball Park!

Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati wants you to enjoy the “suite” life of baseball.  Donate blood between Monday, September 21st and Sunday, September 27th at any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center or Mobile Blood Drive and you will be automatically entered to win one of four pairs of Suite Tickets to watch our hometown team play at Great American Ball Park on Sunday, October 4th.  This is a great time to step up to the plate and make a blood donation to save lives in your community. 

Four lucky winners will be selected at random to enjoy the “Suite” Life of Baseball with Hoxworth Blood Center.  Winners will be contacted on Monday, September 27th.

Make your donation a home run:
• Bring a friend, family member or co-worker to make a blood donation.
• Maximize your blood donation by making a Double Red Cell donation. 
• In addition to your regular donations, give before or after major holidays and during the winter and summer months.
• Donating frequently ensures that we have the blood we need to support our 32 area hospitals. Hoxworth encourages all donors to give every eight weeks for whole blood, sixteen weeks for double red cells and every two weeks for platelets.
• If you have either A or AB blood types, you can boost your donation by giving platelets.

How to Donate:
Donating blood is safe and easy. You must be at least 17 years old (16 with a signed parental consent) and in good health. You must weigh at least 110 pounds and bring identification to donate. It is recommended that donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within four hours before donating.

Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is on a campaign to recruit "100,000 Donors. 100,000 Heroes."  Founded in 1938, we serve 32 hospitals in 17 counties in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana.  Annually, Hoxworth collects over 90,000 units of blood from local donors.  At least 350 volunteer blood donors and 40 volunteer platelet donors are essential each day to keep up with the demands of tri-state hospitals and their patients.
