Give blood on
Friday and get a free lunch from Panera
Bread
All blood donors on Friday, April 27th will receive a free lunch courtesy of Hoxworth and Panera Bread.
There
is an urgent need for blood donors this week. The blood supply for
greater Cincinnati hospitals is at a critically low level.
In an
attempt to encourage extra donors to give blood on Friday, Hoxworth
is offering a free lunch to donors.
How to get the free lunch: Call Hoxworth’s Appointment Center at (513) 451-0910 and schedule an appointment at one of the following Hoxworth locations: Hoxworth at UC: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM Hoxworth Ft. Mitchell: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM Hoxworth Blue Ash: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM Hoxworth Tri-County: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM Hoxworth Western Hills: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Walk-in donors will be welcome. Lunch
will be delivered around 11 am.
About Hoxworth:
Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati Academic
Health Center needs to collect from 350 volunteer blood donors
and 40 volunteer platelet donors each day to keep up with the
demands of tri-state hospitals and their patients. Hoxworth,
founded in 1938, serves 28 hospitals in 17 counties in
Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana.
Annually, Hoxworth collects over 94,000 units of blood from
local volunteer donors.
• Age: At least 17 years old and in good general health.
