Donate Blood at Hoxworth on
Halloween!
CINCINNATI – On Tuesday, October 31, 2006 donate blood at Hoxworth for
Halloween! Hoxworth staff will be in costume and donors are also
encouraged to get into the spirit and wear one, too. Be sure to grab
some treats on the way out.
The following
neighborhood donor centers will be open on Halloween:

Hoxworth Blue Ash: Noon to 7:30 p.m.- Hoxworth Downtown: 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. - Hoxworth Ft. Thomas: Noon to 7:30 p.m. - Hoxworth Tri-County: Noon to 7:30 p.m. - Hoxworth Western Hills: Noon to 7:30 p.m. How to donate: Please call (513) 451-0910 or (800) 830-1091 or email hoxapctr@ucmail.uc.edu to schedule an appointment to donate About Hoxworth: Donating blood and/or platelets is safe and easy. You must be at least 17 years old and in good health. You must weigh at least 110 pounds, eat a good meal within four hours of donating and bring identification to donate. First time donor? Click here to learn about the donation process...more>> Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati Medical Center needs to collect from 350 volunteer blood donors and 40 volunteer platelet donors each day to keep up with the demands of tristate hospitals and their patients. Hoxworth, founded in 1938, serves 28 hospitals in 18 counties in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. Annually, Hoxworth collects over 90,000 units of blood from local donors. #### comments@hoxworth.org
