Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati has once again partnered with Gold Star Chili for the second year in a row to bring the “Give Blood…Cincinnati Style” Summer Blood Drive Tour to a neighborhood near you.
Gold Star Chili is a proud supporter of Hoxworth Blood Center and they recognize that the summer months bring about lower than ideal donations with a higher than average usage. In order to combat a low summer blood inventory, Gold Star Chili will launch a Summer Blood Drive Tour with a kick-off on Friday, May 13 at the Finneytown Gold Star location, and run through September 16.
The “Give Blood…Cincinnati Style” Summer Blood Drive Tour will run between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. All registered donors will receive a FREE T-shirt and Cheese Coney! The Chilimobile will be on location at the neighborhood centers only from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. providing coneys onsite.
“Hoxworth continues to deal with a critically low inventory which is the result of heavy hospital usage and low donations,” said Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. "Please make a blood donation and save a life…while reaping the benefits of the Gold Star Chili Summer Blood Drive Tour.”
